What a week!  No, make that three weeks, it has been.

Life this fall has been ever so busy…. which I guess is better than the alternative… lol

I had the awesome opportunity to participate in Royal Caribbean’s Train the Trainer on board the Majesty of the Seas from September 9 thru 13.. what a beautiful ship!  Royal Caribbean hosted a week long training seminar that concentrated on the Oz Principle, Living Above the Line and Thinking Outside the Box.  It was a great week, and I am excited to share what I learned with the rest of the team at home… I hope they benefit as much as I did.

I won’t bore you with the details of the training… but here are some great pics of the trip!

We joined the vessel Monday in Miami, after an early morning and several really long hours on a flight, I finally made it.

Tuesday we were in Nassau, Bahamas, and got to enjoy an afternoon stroll around town and a great tour of Atlantis!  Some of the girls and I headed back on board and had dinner at Johnny Rockets… I haven’t eaten there in years!

Wednesday was CocoCay, Bahamas, RCCL’s private island… we hung out on the beach and soaked in the sun, it was beautiful…

Thursday was Key West.. I hadn’t been there since Richard and I were dating!  We had lunch at Sloppy Joe’s – YUM!

Friday was back to Miami, and back to Bar Harbor.. a great week, and I am definitely recharged for the fall!

What a trip!

A short three day journey into Baltimore was lots of fun, and I left wishing I had been able to spend more time there.  Arriving early Wednesday morning, I had a chance to explore the Inner Harbor area, and found the Seven Foot Knoll Light at Pier 5… very cool!

The RCCL Grandeur of the Seas was returning from their 45 day dry dock in Freeport, Bahamas, after the unfortunate incident that occurred on May 27, read this if you missed the original story.  The last time I was on Grandeur, it was in Tampa, and it was my first year as the Port Agent!  Time flies!!

Wednesday afternoon was spent at the terminal, participating in a refresh training offered by the head office.  We headed out to dinner at Sullivan’s,, which was a fabulous steakhouse downtown.

Thursday morning I checked out of my hotel and headed back to the pier.  We were preparing to meet and embark approximately 1600 travel agents for a one night cruise to nowhere, which was sponsored by RCCL.  It was a neat opportunity to give the travel agents a chance to check out the repaired and recently revitalized vessel…. lucky me, I was invited to saill away with them!  What a great night!  Lots of events happening on board, live music and entertainment.

Friday morning was back to the pier, and we geared up for a full day of check-in, it was the first cruise since the fire, and everyone was ready for travel!  This was the ad running in the local area to welcome back the Grandeur.  🙂

Fantastic mini-vacation in the middle of my month off…. and what a great way to spend the week!  My friend and colleague, Elizabeth, invited me to cruise on the Celebrity Summit, a week long trip from Bayonne, NJ, to Bermuda.

We boarded on Sunday, July 29, and set off… passing the Statue of Liberty on the way out of the Harbor.

On Wednesday, August 1, we arrived in Kings Wharf, Bermuda, and docked for the next two nights and three days.  The week we were there also happened to be the Annual Cricket Cup Match, which meant a 5 day weekend for the locals, and all the shops were closed!  We had a great time anyway, taking a shore excursion that involved a catamaran, snorkeling, swimming and the locally popular Bermuda Swizzle (Rum Punch), made with three rums, orange, grapefruit and pineapple juice, and grenadine.  We also hit Elbow Beach, a beautiful, not-at-all busy beach… and the local hangout, Snorkel Park, for an evening of drinks and foam!  We took the ferry to Hamilton and had lunch at the Bermuda Bistro, which is a great little restaurant in the middle of town.

We tried a different restaurant on board every night, and were treated like royalty.  The entertainment was spectacular, the drinks were flowing, the sun was shining, the ride was smooth, the week flew by!

So… Mom and I headed out on the Jewel of the Seas, two weeks after Richard and the family.

We had a fantastic time, treated to dinner twice, hanging out by the pool, and lunch in Cozumel.

What an awesome weekend!  Richard and I cruised with Kristin, his sister, and her husband, Tim, for the first time.

It was an action packed weekend… I need another vacation from this one!  It was a great 4 days… drinks poolside, partying like rock stars, a formal dinner in the dining room, rock climbing, jeeps and snorkeling in Cozumel and playing cards with an ocean view.

Here are a few pictures:

Yesterday was the first of two days off, and thankfully it was a beautiful one!  I took advantage of the amazing weather and headed outdoors, nothing too strenuous, but a little cruise on the water was definitely the way to go.

I saw Bear Island Light, Bass Harbor Light, Mark Island Light, and Egg Rock Light, not to mention, two bald eagles, a WWII anti-submarine base, Sand Beach, Otter Cliffs, and the rest of the gorgeous Acadia National Park shoreline.  I got to hang out in the wheelhouse, and enjoyed a Chardonnay while listening to the funniest tour of the park I have heard in a while.
