Courtesy of the best momma in the world, we headed to the Doubletree Beach Resort on Redington Beach for two nights and three days of sun, sand, and relaxation!

It was awesome, the weather left a little bit to be desired… but the sun came out for most of it, and it was great!  Long walks on the beach, drinks under the umbrella, cool water in the pool, and beautiful sunsets… we couldn’t ask for more.  I had the opportunity to use my new water camera… and got some cool shots!

Wednesday, July 24, we headed out and checked in early… and had lunch at the hotel, overlooking the beach.. the pina colada’s were great!  After changing, we found lounge chairs at the pool, and settled in for an afternoon of sun.  Dinner that night was at the hotel, inside at the bar, while waiting on Alex and a friend to arrive.  Thursday morning was an early morning, headed out to the pool for a long day relaxing by the pool!  After finding the perfect spot, in the sun, we settled in for a day to chill!  We brought our own beverages, which made the trip even more fun!  Two wonderful walks on the beach, and lots of laughs after stepping in unseen holes, we got some great pics, and even better memories.  Dinner that night was at The Conch Republic, http://www.conchrepublicgrill.com, and it was pretty good!

So, my trip home has been so much fun! I never realized how I take the Florida sunshine for granted, but I love it now.

Had such a blast in the ten days I was here. So much accomplished in so little time.

My boyfriend picked me up at the airport on Monday, which was really nice. We spent the day at my mom’s, and then headed back to my apartment in Tampa. Tuesday I went to see my brother dance at Busch Gardens, and took some awesome photos! Wednesday was dinner at Roma’s Pizza in Ybor with Kathleen, and then drinks with Kathleen, Heather and Becky at Yeoman’s Road Pub on Davis Island. The Dallas Bull was on Thursday night, and fishing with Richard and his dad on Banana Lake on Saturday morning. Alex’s dance recital was Saturday night, which was so funny. I went to church, Relevant Church, in Ybor, on Sunday morning, and then a big group of us headed out to North Redington Beach Sunday afternoon. The sun was amazing. The water was amazing, and I got some great shots out there too. Becky, Heather, Curt and I stayed the night in a Double Tree, thank you to Mom for that little treat! The last two days have been spent relaxing and spending time with Richard.

I definitely enjoyed my trip home, and I am ready to head back to Bar Harbor to jump into ships on Friday and Sunday.

The Holland America Maasdam will be back this weekend, and the Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas will be coming on June 24. Excited to be back into the groove!

Mom and I will be going to Vermont on June 18, to a little town called Quechee. There is a Hot Air Balloon Festival that should be loads of fun, http://www.quecheeballoonfestival.com. And we are staying in a cool little hotel, the Hotel Coolidge, http://www.hotelcoolidge.com, which is actually on the National Register of Historic Places. From what I can gather, it used to be an old railroad town, so it should be super fun!

Headed back to Bar Harbor tomorrow, will miss everyone at home, but excited about the rest of the summer!
